Say Hi to the new ‘guys’ , yes, there are 5 very hungry caterpillars in their total environment living pot. They are just setting in & happily munching away.
Apparently I will not have to do anything until they pupate. I thought this would be a good trial run into butterfly keeping ( next spring??? If all goes well)
And now I suppose I wait for the butterflies??

It might be my fancy , but I think they may have grown already.
Do you know what they will look like eventually? What do they eat? What an interesting project 🙂
Luckily this time I will not need to worry about what & how much to feed the caterpillars. They are fairly normal UK butterflies, in the garden. So the butterflies should just need some nectar rich flowers until I release them. It’s a trial run before I take the plunge & have a go properly in the spring.
