SAL: Christmas 2018

This time I have actually managed some back stitching

Finished all 3 birdies, they will be hung on my little tree later today

Have any of you played this game

We got it as a quick game to play over Christmas, it’s really good. You have a currency of buttons & you buy patches as you go, to place on your quilt board. All the patches are different sizes, you can only buy any of the next 3 patches in front of the marker ( if you have enough buttons) you get extra button income from the buttons on your quilt patches. It get interesting when you start to become unable to fit patches on the board ( especially if you have a tactical opponent such as my husband)

My stitching rate is slowing, as the marking kids work increases, it looks like I’ve managed half the flowers, so not too bad.

Here’s this times progress, I’ve been carrying this project about with me, it’s been on holiday! I’m afraid it will be a little while before you see a face or back stitching, as it’s on a separate sheet ( that I’m not carrying round)

SAL update

This has been my ‘lunch time’ project at school, this year, I always make myself available one lunchtime every week for my physics students needing help. I get on with a bit of stitching while I’m waiting.

Please check the others blogs to see what lovely things the rest of the group are stitching.
