School planner :1

I’ve finished the front cover, of my teacher planner, I’ve got a smaller A5 one this year, so I need a new onešŸ¤—. I’m now working on the back.

Still tidying in doors, the oddest things found in the Kitchen, was several packets of gate fixings ( hooks & eyes) & geology rock sample. I’ve decided to set a side a small cupboard for his wheat/ gluten containing things, to try & cut down on cross contamination.  I’ve been tidying all over the house, getting rid of lots of clutter. I might even be tidy in each room!!

Moths & caterpillarsĀ

Meet Luna’s pets, she takes her supervisorary role very seriously.

These caterpillars are about 3 weeks old now. They are High Brown Fitillary butterflies ( hopefully)

The Privet Hawk moths have started to hatch. We are not finding the moths as interesting as butterflies as they sleep during the day.

We’ve been looking after Mums for a few days Luna & May had new toys.  Sadly at least one has come to its fluffy end ( they killed it & ripped out its stuffing)

Luna & May have been helping me in my garden they are worn out. Even the post man could creep up on them, probably not.

Dachshund door hangers

I made Mum & Dad a couple of fragranced door hangers.

These are from Luna. That’s another couple of things finished.

We gave them to M&D today, they really liked them.

I got the pattern for Christmas jumper dachshunds from Esty, but the pattern has no obvious link on it.

Happy Christmas crafting. Still got a few things to finish.

Poppy BlanketĀ

I’ve finally finished my poppy blanket. Mum helped to sew the ends in for me. Thanks Mum!

Luna is certain than this is her new snuggle blanket,& was quite disappointed when I folded it back up.

The poppy block came from the following book

And the border is from this book

Happy crocheting everyone

“Weiner Wonderland “

My first Christmas card, I have not made cards for a long time. I saw this chart on Esty & thought it would be perfect for my friends Tracey , as she love dachshunds too.  We don’t get many opportunities to meet up, but this weekend we are, I’m going to take it with me, I hope she likes it.

Here’s Luna doing her ‘bar hum bug’ it’s raining & we are catching up with work today look.

Jelly roll’s & Tshirts

I’ve been putting my new small class sized sewing machine through its paces this week to find out what it can do. Mum brought me an Soul blossoms jelly roll & pack of fat quarters ( still unused!) for my birthday last year. I’m making some chair seat covers & a table runner for the dinning room. These are the patch work part of my chair seat covers. I’m in the process of joining all the nine patches together to make the runner. I’ve now got to remove the old fabric chair seat cover & replace it with cotton, next job find staple gun.

Although it’s been hot here Luna has taken to wearing a Tshirt , she had heat rash under her arms, it stops her scratching it. She is so funny about it, a new one arrived today, she kept pestering until I put it on her.

We are dog sitting this week, although it’s the holidays I must sort out my school stuff next week. The decorating is going well & I have fabric for his ‘man cave’ & fabric for me ( don’t tell him)

Dachshund bracelet

I’ve finally finished my next bead project, thanks to beading trays with lids & large eye beading needles, which are fantastic.

Luna thinks it looks just like her!
It’s been rather wet here over the last couple of weeks. Luna’s not keen on rain or wet grass, hence any mention of going out & she hides.

I know the sun might be shining but that grass is still wet! So I’m staying here in the dry under the table behind my Dads modelling stuff. If you want me come & get me!
We had to climb in to get her, biscuits & bones didn’t work, but the grass was dryer, she spent quite a bit of time ‘hunting ‘ anything that moved.

Luna back on duty

Luna & May had their final vet check today, they are most thankful that a return visit is not required ( they hate the vets with passion & howled all the way there). The stitches have healed so well they can return to normal ( including stairs). Luna & I have returned home. Luna is now watching everyone go by from her prime location the front room window , on my chaise lounge, or in Luna’s mind the most expensive dog bed ever!!!
